Lovely support, got an esim for UK. Had no issues.
I used to have 3 mobile but the internet connection was not the best, that’s why I started to use Blikst and I find it very useful
The Blikst Puerto Rico eSIM runs on T-Mobile US's network, which has the densest coverage on the island. You get proper 4G LTE and 5G speeds, with no daily roaming fee and no surprise extra line on your home bill. It's a clean, fast connection across the main tourist and metro areas without the throttling that many US prepaid carriers apply to Puerto Rico.
Old San Juan, Condado, Isla Verde and the whole metro area have solid 5G, while Ponce, the south coast and Mayaguez have dependable 4G. Rincon and the western surf coast are well covered too. Be honest with your expectations in the central mountains — Jayuya, Utuado and El Yunque's interior drop to 4G with occasional dead spots. Vieques and Culebra have T-Mobile, but it's thinner; expect patchy signal on beaches like Flamenco.
Right after you buy, you'll get a confirmation email with your eSIM details, so delivery takes minutes. Install the profile at home over Wi-Fi by scanning the QR code provided — on your phone this adds a new cellular plan. Activation is automatic: the eSIM activates on arrival in Puerto Rico, so when you land at SJU and switch airplane mode off, T-Mobile picks up by itself with no fiddling needed.
Most modern smartphones work flawlessly with Blikst eSIMs, though a few exceptions exist, so check our detailed compatibility list to confirm your device. Your phone must also be carrier-unlocked and eSIM-capable. On iPhone you can check under Settings, General, About for an EID number; on Android look in the network or SIM settings. If both are present and the phone is unlocked, you're good to go.
It depends on your trip. A four-day long weekend in San Juan is comfortable on 2 to 3 GB. A one-week trip taking in El Yunque and either Vieques or Culebra suits about 5 GB. A two-week grand tour covering the west coast surf towns, the south and the offshore islands fits around 10 GB. Remote workers staying a month in Condado or Rincon should plan on 20 GB minimum.
Yes, tethering and hotspot are supported, so you can share your connection with a laptop, tablet or a travel companion's phone. It's handy for working from a cafe in Condado or Rincon, or getting a second device online while you're out exploring. Coverage for tethering follows the same map as your phone, so expect strong performance in the metro areas and patchier signal in the central mountains and on the offshore islands.
This is a data plan, so it gives you internet rather than a local phone number. In practice that's plenty — you can call and message over the internet using apps like WhatsApp, FaceTime or Messenger, which is how most travellers stay in touch anyway. Because an eSIM is a separate digital line, your physical home SIM and your usual number can stay in the phone, so you won't miss important texts from home.
Usually, yes. For non-US visitors, home carrier roaming runs about $10 to $12 per day, and a Blikst 10-day plan costs less than a single day of typical international roaming. Prepaid MVNOs like Mint or Visible often throttle Puerto Rico as roaming. Local Claro and Liberty SIMs need a store visit. One caveat: if your US carrier explicitly includes Puerto Rico at domestic rates, as some Verizon and AT&T postpaid plans do, check first — you may not need this.
