Quick activation and stable connection. Super handy 🌟 Used it during my trip in Madeira.
Lovely support, got an esim for UK. Had no issues.
I used to have 3 mobile but the internet connection was not the best, that’s why I started to use Blikst and I find it very useful
It runs on Curacao's local carrier network, the listed network provider, giving you 3G and 4G coverage across the Dutch Caribbean footprint centred on Curacao. The 4G reaches Willemstad and the main populated zones, with 3G filling in the more remote western and inland areas. It's the practical choice when Curacao is your primary stop or a Southern Caribbean cruise call.
Willemstad (Punda, Otrobanda, Pietermaai), Mambo Beach, Jan Thiel and the full south-coast resort strip all sit on 4G. The drive out to Westpunt and Shete Boka National Park is 4G in most populated stretches and 3G in remote western areas. Christoffel Park and the inland roads are patchier, with 3G near the main access points and thinner signal on the inner trails. Klein Curacao, the uninhabited day-trip islet, has no meaningful signal.
Right after purchase you get a confirmation email with your eSIM details, then you scan the QR code provided to install it. Activation is automatic on arrival in the Netherlands Antilles, so the line registers itself once you land. Install over home Wi-Fi before you fly, since Curacao International has Wi-Fi but the terminals get crowded. Clear immigration, switch off airplane mode, and you're connected.
Most modern smartphones work fully with Blikst eSIMs, though a few exceptions exist, so check our detailed compatibility list to confirm your device. Your phone must also be carrier-unlocked. On an iPhone you can check eSIM support under Settings, General, About by looking for an EID number, and on Android it's in the network settings. If those appear, you're good to go.
It depends on your trip. A cruise-stop day in Willemstad is fine on 1 GB. A long weekend in Curacao suits 2 to 3 GB, and a week combining Willemstad, diving and Shete Boka is comfortable on 3 to 5 GB. Two-week stays using Jan Thiel or Mambo Beach as a base, with hotel Wi-Fi carrying most streaming, suit around 10 GB. Digital nomads staying three to six months may want 20 GB or more.
Yes, tethering and hotspot use are supported, so you can share the connection with a laptop or tablet. That's handy in Curacao for cruise line apps like Royal Caribbean, Carnival or Holland America when port Wi-Fi is inconsistent, or for dive-planning tools such as Subsurface. Just remember hotspot use draws from the same data allowance, so size your plan with sharing in mind if you'll lean on it.
This is a data-only plan, so it doesn't include a local phone number for traditional calls or SMS. Instead you call and message over the internet using apps like WhatsApp, FaceTime or similar, which is exactly how Curacao's dive shops, tour operators and beach clubs prefer to be reached anyway. Because the eSIM is a separate digital line, your physical home SIM and number can stay in the phone untouched.
Usually, yes. Most US carriers charge Caribbean roaming around $10 to $12 a day for this region, and UK and Canadian carriers are similar. On a week-long Curacao beach trip or a multi-island cruise, those daily fees stack up fast. A Blikst plan on the local network runs a fraction of that and saves you a stop at a Digicel or Flow storefront, so you go straight from the pier to Pietermaai.
