Quick activation and stable connection. Super handy 🌟 Used it during my trip in Madeira.
Lovely support, got an esim for UK. Had no issues.
I used to have 3 mobile but the internet connection was not the best, that’s why I started to use Blikst and I find it very useful
The Blikst Martinique eSIM runs on Outremer, which operates locally on Orange Caraibe and SFR Caraibe-adjacent infrastructure under the Outremer umbrella. You get 3G and 4G speeds, which means solid 4G across the main towns and a drop to 3G in the more remote interior. It is essentially the same strong mobile backbone you would expect in metropolitan France, extended to the island.
Coverage stretches across the island, with solid 4G in Fort-de-France, Le Lamentin where the airport sits, Schoelcher, Sainte-Anne, Le Marin, Trois-Ilets and Saint-Pierre. The Atlantic coast past La Trinite and the Caravelle peninsula is well covered. Be honest with yourself about the interior: the slopes of Mount Pelee, the Pitons du Carbet trails and the deeper valleys around Morne-Rouge drop to 3G with occasional dead patches under heavy rainforest canopy.
After purchase you receive a confirmation email with your eSIM details within minutes. Install it at home over Wi-Fi by scanning the QR code provided. Activation is automatic on arrival: when you land at Aime Cesaire International in Le Lamentin and turn airplane mode off, the Blikst line registers on the Outremer network by itself. Turn off data roaming on your home line first so it does not register instead.
Most modern smartphones are fully compatible with Blikst eSIMs, though a few exceptions exist, so check our detailed compatibility list to confirm your device. Your phone also needs to be carrier-unlocked. To check eSIM support, look on an iPhone under Settings, General, About for an EID number, or in your Android network settings. If in doubt, our compatibility list is the quickest way to be sure.
It depends on your trip. A week-long resort stay in Trois-Ilets or Sainte-Anne with hotel Wi-Fi works comfortably on 3 GB. Ten days with a rental car, touring both coasts and hiking Mount Pelee, sits at around 5 GB. Two-week trips that pair Martinique with day-hops to Dominica or St Lucia want about 10 GB for the Martinique portion. A month of remote work in Fort-de-France with video calls is better on 20 GB or more.
Yes, tethering and hotspot use are supported, so you can share your connection with a laptop or tablet, which is handy if you are working remotely from Fort-de-France or Les Trois-Ilets. Keep in mind that hotspot use draws down your data allowance faster, especially on video calls, so size your plan accordingly. In the interior rainforest zones the network drops to 3G, which makes tethering slower up there.
These are data plans, so they do not include a local phone number for traditional calls or SMS. Instead you call and message over the internet using apps like WhatsApp, FaceTime or similar, which is exactly how catamaran skippers, dive shops and villa hosts in Martinique tend to communicate anyway. Because the eSIM is a separate digital line, your physical home SIM can stay in the phone, so you keep your usual number for anything important.
For most travellers, yes. US and UK carriers typically charge around 10 to 12 dollars per day for roaming, while a Blikst plan is a fraction of that over a week. One honest exception: travellers from metropolitan France on Free, Orange or SFR plans often have Martinique included in their home allowance, so check before buying as you may not need anything extra. Travellers from elsewhere in the EU are usually not covered, as it is an overseas department.
