Quick activation and stable connection. Super handy 🌟 Used it during my trip in Madeira.
Lovely support, got an esim for UK. Had no issues.
I used to have 3 mobile but the internet connection was not the best, that’s why I started to use Blikst and I find it very useful
The Blikst Kosovo eSIM runs on a carrier with regional infrastructure (network provider: Monaco), giving you connectivity right across the country. Speeds are 3G and 4G rather than 5G, which is plenty for maps, messaging, ride-hailing and uploading photos. You'll get strong 4G in the main cities, with the signal dropping to 3G in some of the more remote mountain and rural areas.
Pristina, Prizren, Pejë, Gjakova and Mitrovica all have strong 4G, and the R7 and R6 motorways have continuous signal. Be honest with yourself about the wilder spots: the Rugova Gorge west of Pejë drops to 3G in the canyon bends, the Sharr mountains and Brezovica ski area are 3G near villages and patchy above the tree line, and Drenica valley villages are mostly 3G.
Right after you buy, you'll get a confirmation email with your eSIM details, so delivery takes minutes. Scan the QR code provided to install it, and the plan activates automatically the moment you arrive in Kosovo. Best to install at home before you fly, since Pristina airport is small and you'll likely want to book a ride or text your accommodation within minutes of landing. Crossing overland, your line activates as you cross.
Most modern smartphones work fully with Blikst eSIMs, though a few exceptions exist, so check our detailed compatibility list to confirm your device. Your phone also needs to be carrier-unlocked. On iPhone you can check eSIM support under Settings, General, About and look for an EID number; on Android it's in the network or SIM settings. If you see an EID, you're almost certainly good to go.
It depends on your trip. A weekend Pristina city break is comfortable on 1 to 2 GB. One week covering Pristina, Prizren and a hike in the Rugova or Accursed Mountains suits around 3 to 5 GB. Two weeks including Brezovica skiing or a full western-Kosovo loop is better on 5 to 10 GB. If you're working remotely from Pristina for a month, size up to about 20 GB, as the café Wi-Fi isn't always reliable.
Yes, tethering and hotspot use are supported, so you can share your connection with a laptop, tablet or a travelling companion's phone. This is handy in Pristina cafés where the Wi-Fi can fail just when you need it, or for getting a laptop online during a longer stay. Any data you share comes out of your plan's allowance, so a slightly larger bundle helps if you plan to tether often.
This is a data-only plan, so it doesn't come with a local phone number for traditional calls or SMS. In practice that's no problem in Kosovo, where WhatsApp and Viber are both widely used and guesthouses often send directions and check-in codes through one or the other. Because the eSIM is a separate digital line, you can leave your physical home SIM in the phone and keep your usual number active for anything important.
Usually, yes. Kosovo isn't in the EU, so most EU roam-like-home plans exclude it and you can get hit with per-MB charges crossing from North Macedonia or Albania. UK and US carriers typically charge around 10 to 12 dollars a day here, whereas a Blikst plan for the length of your trip comes in well under that. Local Vala or IPKO SIMs exist but need a Pristina shop visit and passport registration.
