Quick activation and stable connection. Super handy 🌟 Used it during my trip in Madeira.
Lovely support, got an esim for UK. Had no issues.
I used to have 3 mobile but the internet connection was not the best, that’s why I started to use Blikst and I find it very useful
The Blikst Estonia eSIM runs on Telia Estonia, one of the country's top three operators alongside Elisa and Tele2. You get both 4G and 5G speeds. Estonia rolled out 5G earlier than much of western Europe, so connectivity is genuinely strong here. Tallinn and its wider area enjoy blanket 5G, with solid 4G and partial 5G across the rest of the country.
Coverage spans Tallinn, Tartu, Pärnu, Narva and most of the country, including the islands of Saaremaa and Hiiumaa. Tallinn Old Town and the wider city have blanket 5G; Tartu, Pärnu, Narva and Viljandi have strong 4G and partial 5G. The Via Baltica (E67) to Latvia is consistent. Be aware that Lahemaa National Park, Alutaguse's reserves and Soomaa's bogs have thinner signal deep in the interior, and the Tallinn-Helsinki ferry is patchy mid-Gulf.
Right after purchase you receive a confirmation email with your eSIM details, so delivery takes only minutes. Install the profile over Wi-Fi before you fly by scanning the QR code provided. Activation is automatic: the plan registers on Telia Estonia the moment you land at Tallinn, Tartu or Pärnu and switch off airplane mode. Arriving by ferry from Helsinki or Stockholm, it picks up Estonian towers as you near the coast, usually before you dock.
Most modern smartphones are fully compatible with Blikst eSIMs, though a few exceptions exist, so check our detailed compatibility list to confirm your device works. As a quick general check, on an iPhone look under Settings, General, About for an EID number; on Android, check your network or SIM settings. Your phone also needs to be carrier-unlocked to accept a new eSIM line.
It depends on your trip. A long weekend in Tallinn fits comfortably on 3 GB. A one-week Tallinn-Tartu-Saaremaa loop runs nicely on 5 GB. A two-week Baltic itinerary with Estonia as the starting leg uses about 10 GB if you spend roughly half the time here. Digital nomads and e-Residents working a month in Tallinn, with plenty of video calls, usually want 20 GB or more.
Yes, tethering and hotspot use are supported, so you can share your connection with a laptop, tablet or a travelling companion's phone. It works well for video-call-heavy remote work in Tallinn, and out on the road it covers you on trams, ferries and rental-car drives to the bog boardwalks. Bear in mind the deep interior of parks like Soomaa and Lahemaa has thinner signal, which will affect any tethered devices too.
This is a data plan, so it does not come with a local Estonian phone number for traditional calls or texts. In practice that is rarely a problem: you can call and message over the internet using apps like WhatsApp, FaceTime or Telegram. Because the eSIM is a separate digital line, your physical home SIM stays in the phone, so you keep your usual number for anything important that still needs it.
Often, yes. UK post-Brexit plans frequently charge £2-£6 per day here, and US carriers typically run $10-$12 per day, which adds up fast. EU travellers with roam-like-home may already have Estonia covered, so do confirm with your carrier. A local Telia or Elisa SIM is easy to grab at an R-Kiosk or supermarket, but a Blikst plan saves that errand and has you online from the moment you arrive.
