Lovely support, got an esim for UK. Had no issues.
I used to have 3 mobile but the internet connection was not the best, that’s why I started to use Blikst and I find it very useful
The Blikst Denmark eSIM runs on Telia's network, one of the country's top-tier carriers, with near-universal population coverage. You get 4G and 5G speeds, with 5G reaching every major city and much of Jutland's motorway network. In practice that means fast, reliable data whether you're streaming in Copenhagen or checking maps on a coastal drive across Funen and Jutland.
Copenhagen, Aarhus, Odense, Aalborg and Esbjerg all have full 5G, and the E20 and E45 motorways across Zealand, Funen and Jutland stay connected the whole way, including the Great Belt and Oresund bridges. Train routes like the IC3, Lyntog and Copenhagen S-train hold signal almost end to end. Rural Bornholm, the West Jutland dune coast, and small Wadden Sea islands like Fano and Romo are covered but may drop to 4G in parts.
Right after purchase you'll get a confirmation email with your eSIM details, then you simply scan the QR code provided to install it. The line activates automatically on arrival in Denmark, so it's best to install on home Wi-Fi before you fly. When you land and switch off airplane mode, the Telia line registers itself. Turn off data roaming on your home SIM so it doesn't sneak onto Danish networks in the background.
Most modern smartphones are fully compatible with Blikst eSIMs, though a few exceptions exist, so check our detailed compatibility list to confirm your device. Your phone also needs to be carrier-unlocked. On iPhone you can check eSIM support under Settings, General, About and look for an EID number; on Android it's in your network or SIM settings. If both show up, you're good to go.
It depends on your trip. A long weekend in Copenhagen is realistic on 2 to 3 GB if you're on hotel Wi-Fi at night. A one-week loop covering Copenhagen, Aarhus and a Jutland beach stop fits into about 5 GB. Two weeks taking in Bornholm, Skagen and the Lake District around Silkeborg sits comfortably in 10 GB. Remote workers staying a month should look at 20 GB or higher, especially if hot-spotting a laptop in cafes.
Yes, tethering and hotspot are supported, so you can share your connection with a laptop or tablet. This is handy for remote workers hot-spotting in cafes rather than relying on Wi-Fi, though heavier hotspot use will eat through your allowance faster. If you plan to work from your laptop for a month, lean towards a 20 GB or larger plan so you don't run short while tethering on the go.
Blikst plans are data plans, so they don't come with a Danish phone number for traditional calls or texts. Instead you call and message over the internet using apps like WhatsApp, FaceTime or Messenger, which work fine on this data. Because an eSIM is a separate digital line, you can leave your physical home SIM in the phone and keep your own number active for anything that genuinely needs it.
For US, UK and other non-EU travellers, home carriers typically charge around 10 to 12 dollars a day for Denmark roaming. A multi-day Blikst plan sits well below that even for a short stay, and a month-long plan costs less than a week of standard roaming, with no SIM kiosk to find on arrival. EU travellers with roam-like-home already have Denmark covered on their home plan, so check first as you may not need an eSIM at all.
