Smooth, simple, just works. Use it again.
Quick activation and stable connection. Super handy 🌟 Used it during my trip in Madeira.
Lovely support, got an esim for UK. Had no issues.
I used to have 3 mobile but the internet connection was not the best, that’s why I started to use Blikst and I find it very useful
The Blikst Aruba eSIM runs on Digicel, one of the island's local mobile operators. You get 3G and 4G speeds, with 4G across the busy west-coast hotel strip and the main towns. It is a proper local connection rather than roaming, which is why it costs a fraction of what your US or Canadian carrier would charge once you leave home.
Coverage spans Oranjestad, Palm Beach, Eagle Beach, Malmok and the full west-coast hotel strip on 4G, plus the north-south Route 1 highway down to San Nicolas and Baby Beach. Arikok National Park is on 3G near the Shete visitor centre and the Natural Pool road. The rougher 4x4 tracks to Boca Prins and the Bushiribana gold-mill ruins drop to 2G or the odd dead patch. The island is small, so expect slower stretches rather than true offline zones.
Right after you buy, you get a confirmation email with your eSIM details, usually within minutes. Install it at home before you fly by scanning the QR code provided. Activation is automatic on arrival: once you land at Queen Beatrix International, clear immigration and switch off airplane mode, the Digicel line registers itself. Cruise passengers get the same handoff stepping onto the Oranjestad pier.
Most modern smartphones work fully with Blikst eSIMs, though a few exceptions exist, so check our detailed compatibility list to confirm your device. Your phone also needs to be carrier-unlocked. On an iPhone you can check eSIM support under Settings, General, About and look for an EID number; on Android it is in your network settings. If in doubt, our compatibility list is the quickest way to be sure.
It depends on your trip. A single cruise day is fine on 1 GB. A long weekend at Palm Beach suits 2 to 3 GB. A week-long all-inclusive at Eagle Beach or Manchebo needs about 3 to 5 GB, since the resort Wi-Fi carries a lot of it. Two-week family stays in rental condos with patchier in-unit Wi-Fi are better on 10 GB, and remote workers on the One Happy Workation programme should plan for 20 GB or more for constant video calls.
Yes, tethering and hotspot are supported, so you can share your connection with a laptop, tablet or a travel companion's phone. That is handy in rental condos where the in-unit Wi-Fi is patchy, or at the Oranjestad cruise port where the Wi-Fi is thin and your eSIM bridges the gap for boarding apps and onboard credit balances. Just remember hotspots use data faster, so size your plan accordingly.
These are data plans, so they are built for internet rather than a local phone number. In practice that is what you want in Aruba, where boat tours, catamaran operators, dive shops and timeshare desks all confirm over WhatsApp. You can call and message freely using apps like WhatsApp or FaceTime. Because an eSIM is a separate digital line, your physical home SIM stays in the phone, so your usual number keeps receiving calls and texts.
Almost always. Aruba sits outside most US carriers' domestic plans, so Verizon TravelPass, AT&T International Day Pass and T-Mobile Magenta roaming all run around 10 to 12 dollars a day here, with Canadian carriers similar. A week of daily roaming can hit 70 to 85 dollars per line, and that multiplies fast across a family. A Blikst plan on Digicel costs a fraction and saves the walk-in detour to a Digicel or Setar kiosk.
