The Blikst Guam eSIM runs on PTI, one of the main carriers on the island (network provider: PTI). You get 3G and 4G speeds, with reliable 4G across the busier tourist and residential areas. It is a straightforward alternative to relying on your home carrier's roaming, which can be unpredictable on Guam, and it keeps you connected the moment you land.
PTI gives reliable 4G across Tumon Bay, Hagåtña, Tamuning, Dededo and the airport area, plus 3G and 4G through the populated southern and central parts of the island. Southern villages like Umatac, Merizo and Inarajan have 4G along Route 4 but can dip to 3G near the coast. The interior jungle and the far northern cliffs near Ritidian are patchier, so expect 3G or brief dead zones in the valleys.
Right after you buy, you will get a confirmation email with your eSIM details, so delivery takes only minutes. Install it over Wi-Fi before you fly by scanning the QR code provided. Activation is automatic: when you touch down at Antonio B. Won Pat International, switch off airplane mode and the plan registers on PTI on its own, giving you immediate connectivity on arrival.
Most modern smartphones work fully with Blikst eSIMs, though a few exceptions exist, so check our detailed compatibility list to confirm your device. Your phone also needs to be carrier-unlocked. To check eSIM support, look on iPhone under Settings, General, About for an EID number, or in your Android network settings. If it shows there, you are good to go.
It depends on your trip. A short three to four day Tumon beach stay works easily on 1 to 3 GB, especially if your hotel Wi-Fi covers the evenings. A full week with island-circle drives, Talofofo Falls and the southern villages fits 5 GB comfortably. Scuba divers and content creators uploading video from the beach should size up to 10 GB or more, while two-week visitors using the hotspot a lot often run through 10 to 20 GB.
Yes, tethering and hotspot use are supported, so you can share your connection with a laptop, tablet or a travelling companion's phone. This is handy for military-family visitors staying with relatives on-island, though heavy hotspot use does add up fast. Two-week stays that lean on the hotspot can run through 10 to 20 GB, so size your plan with that in mind if several devices will be sharing it.
This is a data-only plan, so it does not come with a local Guam phone number for traditional calls or texts. You can still call and message over the internet using apps like WhatsApp, FaceTime, LINE or KakaoTalk, the last two being popular with Japanese and Korean travellers. Because the eSIM is a separate digital line, your physical home SIM and number can stay in the phone, just toggle its data roaming off.
Guam is a US territory but carriers handle it differently. If your US plan treats Guam as domestic, like T-Mobile's Go5G or Verizon's newer unlimited tiers, you may not need a travel eSIM, so check first. If it is treated as international, rates jump to $10 or more per day, and non-US travellers typically face $8 to $12 per day. A Blikst plan undercuts both for stays longer than two or three days.
