One profile covers eight countries: Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Morocco, Oman, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates. That spans most of the big overland and multi-country routes travellers actually do, from the Israel-Jordan-Egypt loop to Turkey-UAE business hops. Worth knowing: the plan does not roam into Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Iraq, Iran, Syria, Lebanon or Yemen, so you'd need country-specific plans for any of those.
It runs on the strongest local carrier in each country: Orange in Egypt and Morocco, Pelephone in Israel, Zain in Jordan and Kuwait, Omantel and Oman Mobile in Oman, Turkcell and Avea in Turkey, and Du in the UAE. Speeds are 3G, 4G or 5G depending on where you are. The UAE has blanket 5G, Kuwait City is fully 5G, and Turkey runs solid 4G and 5G across its main regions.
Yes, one profile covers all eight countries. It attaches to whichever supported carrier your device registers first, so it switches automatically as you travel. Crossing between Jordan and Israel at the Allenby bridge, it hands off between Zain and Pelephone at the terminal; Egypt to Jordan via Taba and Aqaba activates Zain once you clear the Jordanian side. Morocco is geographically separate but works the same, picking up Orange Morocco on arrival at Casablanca or Marrakech.
Right after you buy, you'll get a confirmation email with your eSIM details, so you're ready in minutes. Install the profile on your home Wi-Fi before you fly by scanning the QR code provided. Activation is automatic: the eSIM attaches the moment you arrive in the region. At hub airports like Dubai, Istanbul, Cairo, Tel Aviv, Amman, Muscat and Casablanca it registers as you clear immigration. Land crossings activate on the first tower inside the new country.
Most modern smartphones work fully with Blikst eSIMs, though a few exceptions exist, so it's worth checking our detailed compatibility list before you buy. Your phone also needs to be carrier-unlocked. To confirm eSIM support, on an iPhone go to Settings, General, About and look for an EID number; on Android check the network or SIM settings. If you see an EID, you're good to go.
It depends on your trip. A one-week single-country visit works comfortably on 5 GB. A two-week multi-country itinerary like Egypt-Jordan-Israel wants around 10 GB, especially with all the ground-logistics coordination over apps. Three-week regional tours that fold in Turkey or the UAE as a hub stopover suit about 20 GB. Business travellers on month-long Gulf rotations across the UAE, Kuwait and Oman are better served by 50 GB.
Yes, tethering and hotspot use are supported, so you can share your connection with a laptop, tablet or a travelling companion's phone. This is handy in the UAE and Turkey where 5G and 4G are strong. Bear in mind that hotspot use burns through data faster than browsing on the phone alone, so if you plan to tether a laptop regularly it's worth choosing one of the larger data sizes.
This is a data plan, so it's built for mobile internet rather than a traditional local number for calls and texts. In practice that's no limitation across the region, since travellers rely heavily on WhatsApp for drivers, lodges and tour coordination, and you can call or video over the internet with WhatsApp or FaceTime. Because the eSIM is a separate digital line, your physical home SIM can stay in the phone, keeping your usual number reachable.
