Suave, sencillo, simplemente funciona. Úsalo de nuevo.
Activación rápida y conexión estable. Súper práctico 🌟 Lo usé durante mi viaje en Madeira.
Encantador soporte, obtuve una eSIM para Reino Unido. No tuve problemas.
Solía tener 3 móviles, pero la conexión a internet no era la mejor, por eso empecé a usar Blikst y lo encuentro muy útil
One profile bundles 11 countries: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, French Guiana, Mexico, Peru and Uruguay. It does not roam into Venezuela, Guyana, Suriname, Bolivia, Paraguay, Panama, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Honduras or Belize, so a classic Lima to La Paz route loses connectivity on the Bolivian leg. Buy country-specific plans for those gaps.
The profile attaches to Telefónica, Movistar and Vivo or their regional affiliates, including Millicom (Tigo), Otecel in Ecuador, Outremer in French Guiana and Pegaso in Mexico. Speeds run at 3G, 4G or 5G depending on the country. Major hubs like Buenos Aires, São Paulo, Rio, Santiago, Bogotá, Lima, Quito and Montevideo have strong 4G with growing 5G in the central business districts.
Yes, one profile covers all 11 included countries and hands off between supported carriers at borders. The Chile to Peru crossing at Arica and Tacna switches cleanly between Movistar Chile and Movistar Peru, and the Iguazú frontier moves between Vivo and Telefónica Argentina depending on the nearest tower. At Peru to Bolivia, only the Peruvian side is covered, as Bolivia is not in this plan.
Right after purchase you receive a confirmation email with a QR code. Install the profile while you are on home Wi-Fi before you fly, then scan the QR code in your phone's settings to add the eSIM. Activation is automatic and the eSIM switches on when you arrive in South America. Hub airports like EZE, GRU, GIG, SCL, BOG, LIM, UIO, MVD and SJO all pick it up immediately on arrival.
Most modern smartphones work fully with Blikst eSIMs, though a few exceptions exist, so check our detailed compatibility list to confirm your device. Your phone also needs to be carrier-unlocked. On iPhone you can check eSIM support under Settings, General, About and look for an EID number; on Android the option appears in your network settings. If in doubt, check before you travel.
It depends on how far you roam. A one-week single-country trip works on 5 GB. A two-week classic such as Buenos Aires to Iguazú to Rio, or Lima to Cusco, suits about 10 GB. Three-week continent-spanning trips fit 20 GB. Long-term backpackers on a six-week LATAM loop should go for 50 GB, especially if they are hot-spotting laptops from hostels each night.
Yes, tethering and hotspot are supported, so you can share your connection with a laptop or tablet, which is handy for backpackers working from hostels. Just remember coverage is patchy in remote areas: the Patagonian steppe along Ruta 40 has long dead zones, the Atacama altiplano drops outside town, and the Amazon around Manaus, Iquitos or Puerto Maldonado should be treated as offline once you leave the urban area.
This is a data-only plan, so it does not come with a local number for traditional calls or texts. You can call and message over the internet using apps like WhatsApp, FaceTime or Telegram, and WhatsApp in particular is essential here since hostels, guides and shuttle operators all run on it. Because the eSIM is a separate digital line, your physical home SIM and number can stay in the phone.
